Frequently Asked Questions

Does it cost me anything to hire a travel agent?

  • In most cases NO!! Our trusted suppliers pay my commission! They pay me to bring you to them! A travel agent’s commission is almost always fully funded by the supplier, costing the traveler nothing at all! The only time we charge a planning fee is if we are not working with contracted suppliers or In - Country (USA) partners that do not pay commission. You will be notified up front if that is the case.

What are some of the added benefits of hiring a travel agent?

  • I can earn extra perks for you - such on On Board Credit on cruises or free upgrades and special welcome amenities that most likely are not available to a direct consumer.

  • I can offer money saving sales and promotions that may not be offered directly to consumers

  • It is a time saving and convenient way to get your trip planned. Instead of making 10 phone calls or emails to different suppliers, you only need to contact me, and I will take care of the rest!

  • I can include expert tips and advice to make the most out of your itinerary.

  • Added piece of mind while planning for your trip and more importantly, while you travel. From building detailed itineraries that suite your needs to providing crucial support and assistance if there are any issues while traveling, you can expect a personal touch and a more seamless experience.

Do I still need travel insurance if I use a travel agent?

  • YES!!! Travel insurance is strongly recommended to protect you against any potentially significant unforeseen events that could ruin your trip and your wallet! Things like cancellations, medical emergencies, lost baggage, weather delays and other travel interruptions can cause a tremendous amount of stress on a traveler, but can also cause large financial losses if not covered by insurance. A travel agent is not an insurance agent and cannot interpret policy inclusions/exclusions for you - it is imperative that you work with a trusted travel insurance company and know your rights, obligations and coverages before you travel. I always recommend coverage to my clients in every situation and encourage them to read their policies and contact the travel insurance advisor directly for further specific details.
